On the 12th October, Christopher Columbus discovered America by accident, and if it hadnt been for him, we would never have had McDonalds, American Football and Rednecks!!! Daily Dose of Happy Events!!!
Today there are two very special international events going on. Number one- Today is National Coming Out Day, the day when most homosexuals and bisexuals choose to come out and be public with their sexuality. It is observed in many countries, including some which haven't even legalised gay marriage yet! Lets wish them luck and hope that everyone is as open-minded about homosexuality as we are!
The second event is that today is the International Day of the Girl Child where we raise awareness to fight inequality against sexism and creating more opportunities for girls. In other words, today is all about GIRL POWER!!!
